Whee!!!

Today I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Neil Gaiman! I think most of you understand what a big deal this was for me. I am still so excited, I am not sure how to put it into words. His new book Anansi Boys released today, and he had a reading and signing at the Union Square Barnes and Noble. I got my book signed, and he hugged me after I thanked him for writing everything he has ever written (Yes, I'm a huge dork, but I was horribly excited and nervous). I LOVE that man. He was very sweet and funny. I am so happy that I had the opportunity to meet him. I love New York City.

The pictures are a bit blurry because I couldn't use my flash, and my hands are shaky.

Introduction

He showed us the preliminary versions of the cover art for the new Good Omens editions, due out next year.

Reading from Anansi Boys

My signed book! (I love the dedication)

Awesome! On your advice, and Chris', I started reading Stardust. What a nifty lil book (enjoying it more than American Gods, which, never really got me in as much as I wanted.)

Oh yeah. I stumbled upon an interesting book last week called "Legends 2" which is a compilation of short stories from fantasy and sci-fi authors. Terry Brooks, Stephen King, Neil Gaiman, etc. NG's story was about Shadow after American Gawds. I didn't pick it up though... 7$ was too much for a short story. Still it may be something to look into.

Apparently authors are here for signings all the time. I missed Frank Miller and Terry Pratchett last week. I wish I had known.

I think it's an awesome dedication in general. He read that as well. He said it was the most important part of the book.

I am in sheer awe of all the things that I've been able to do since I moved here. It makes me wonder why the hell I didn't do it earlier!

I am glad things are going well for you! I know we didn't always get along while you were here, but I am truly happy for you! I'm glad you've found a bunch of goodness and happiness. :)
